Neither floating nor sinking... stuck in limbo; a testament of nature's fury.
On October 25, 1906, the Peter Iredale ran ashore on route to Portland, OR. Fortunately there were no casualties. Later, the ship was sold and dismantled for scrap. Only it's steel skeleton remains, trapped in a sandy grave in the Lewis and Clark National Historic Park. It is one of the most accessible shipwrecks in the "Graveyard of the Pacific."
It had taken 7hrs of driving to get there, and when I arrived the sun had just slipped behind the fog. So I grabbed my tripod and sprinted down the beach. One of the best 20 minutes of my life xD
